Not many might have known director Anil Ravipudi is a writer first before becoming a director and he is a part of Mahesh Babu’s debacle Aagadu as well which was made in the direction of Anil Ravipudi. Anil Ravipudi has worked for the total first half in the writing department but couldn’t work for the second half as he got the chance to direct the film Pataas by then. Seems like the Aagadu disaster is still haunting Anil Ravipudi. He is making a conscious effort not to repeat the mistakes at the time of Aagadu. Though Srinu Vaitla is blamed for the loss, everyone should take equal part in it.
When Mahesh Babu and Anil Ravipudi met for story discussions of Sarileru Neekevvaru the first thought that came to their minds is not to repeat the mistakes of Aagadu. Srinu Vaitla wanted to make a fun-filled entertainer with Mahesh and that’s how Aagadu started. Mahesh’s character is funny throughout the film and almost in every scene he utters lengthy dialogues. Though the intention is good for Aagadu, the total package went wrong and that’s why the film was a bomb at the box office.
Now, Anil Ravipudi who doesn’t forget that film is taking extra care that Sarileru Neekevvaru comes with the right package of action and entertainment. In Sarileru Neekevvaru, Anil Ravipudi has mixed all kinds of emotions in the right quantity which will be a feast for Mahesh Babu fans. Mahesh after the debacle of Aagadu has turned to serious roles like Srimanthudu, Spyder, Bharat Ane Nenu, Maharshi, etc., After many years, Mahesh is going to perform in a jovial role. Fans are just excited about this.
Sarileru Neekevvaru is releasing on January 12th. The film is being produced by Anil Sunkara in association with Dil Raju. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead role.
