Another person of Indian descent is ready to try his luck in the US presidential race. Indian-American industrialist and Republican Party leader Vivek Ramaswamy recently announced that he will participate in the party’s primary election race. On behalf of the party, former US President Donald Trump and another leader of Indian origin, Nikki Haley, are already in the ring. Only those who win the primary election of the Republican Party in January next year will have the opportunity to compete on behalf of the party in the presidential election.
Vivek Ramaswamy (37) was born in Ohio. His parents are from Kerala. Ramaswamy graduated from Harvard College in 2007 with a degree in Biology. Later, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Yale Law School. In 2014, he founded the biotech firm Roivant Sciences. Many technology companies were also established. Last year, he founded a new company called Active Asset Management to give a big foothold to public opinion in politics. Ramaswamy entered the election race with America’s interests as his first priority.
The parents of Vivek Ramaswamy migrated to the US from the Kerala and worked at a General Electric plant in Ohio, announced his presidential bid.
The next US presidential election will be conducted on 5th November 2024.
