Anushka Shetty, Baahubali Devasena is all set to play the role of B Saroja Devi in upcoming much awaited movie NTR biopic, which is being made in two parts and is being helmed by National award winning director Krish. The sources close to Anushka Shetty reveal that the makers of NTR biopic approached the actress to play the pivotal role in NTR biopic but she did not yet give her nod. If everything will go accordingly, she will also become the part of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s project. He role in NTR biopic will be like a cameo. Currently Anushka Shetty is focusing on her weight loss.
B. Saroja Devi has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi movies. She is one of the most successful female leads in the history of Indian cinema. She has acted in around 200 films in over six decades. Saroja Devi is known by the epithets “Abinaya Saraswathi” in Kannada and “Kannadathu Paingili” (Kannada’s Parrot) in Tamil. At the age of 17, Saroja Devi got her big break with her debut movie, the Kannada film Mahakavi Kalidasa in 1955. In Telugu cinema, she made her debut with Panduranga Mahatyam in 1959.
NTR biopic is jointly bankrolled by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri under NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, and Vibri Media banners whereas MM Keeravani is rendering the tune. Balakrishna is playing the role of his father and late Chief Minister of the United Andhra Pradesh. Nithya Menen is playing Savitri, Mahanati whereas Rakul Preet Singh is essaying the role of late actress Sridevi. Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of Andhra Pradeh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
On the otheside, it is heard that recently Anushka Shetty has signed an upcoming Kollywood movie, in which she will be seen sharing the screen space with R Madhavan.
Anushka Shetty was last seen in woman centric movie Bhaagamathie, which was released in January 2018.
