After a long gap, Anushka Shetty is making her comeback in lead role with an upcoming film Nishandham, in which she will share the screen space with Kollywood star Madhavan. Kona Venkat, one of the producers of Anushka Shetty starrer Nishabdham, revealed that getting a theatrical release is their first priority.
After Amazon Prime Video announced the direct release of five South Indian movies rumors about Anushka Shetty and Madhavan starrer upcoming film Nishabdham skipping theatrical release were doing the rounds. Many pointed out that the thriller drama Nishabdham will have its premiere on the OTT platform soon.
Though the makers of Anushka Shetty starrer Nishabdham cleared the air about its theatrical release, but the rumors don’t seem to die down. Recently Kona Venkat, one of the producers, revealed that they might go for an OTT release if the situation is not favorable.
Nishabdham is helmed by Hemant Madhurkar, which was slated to hit the theatres on 2nd April but the film release was postponed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Apart from the lead pair, the film also has Shalini Pandey, Anjali, and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen in the crucial roles.
Anushka Shetty is playing the role of a deaf and mute character whereas Madhavan is essaying her husband in the film which revolves around the murder of a key character and the investigation to find the killer.
