Baahubali fame Anushka Shetty was last seen playing the female lead in Nishabdham which had direct digital release on the Amazon Prime Video last year. Till date there is no any official announcement regarding her upcoming project. Now according to the latest buzz, Anushka Shetty is in the talk of a big budget project and if everything goes as per plan, she will be seen playing the female lead in Chandramukhi 2 under the direction of P Vasu in which Raghava Lawrence will play the lead role.
Last year, the actor-director Raghava Lawrence surprised movie lovers by announcing that he will be teaming up with P Vasu for the project Chandramukhi 2, who directed the original. He also revealed that the advance amount, which he received to act in this flick, has been donated for coronavirus relief efforts.
Earlier there were reports that Kiara Advani has been approached to play the female lead. However, the makers rubbished it as rumours. And now the reports are coming that the makers of Chandramukhi 2 are planning to bring Anushka Shetty on the board to play the female lead.
Chandramukhistarred Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Jyotika and Nayanthara, was released in 2005. The sequel – Chandramukhi 2 will star Raghava Lawrence in place of Rajinikanth.
