Anushka Shetty has teamed up with Kollywood star Madhavan for an upcoming bilingual drama, which has been titled as Silent. Sweety aka Anushka Shetty who has seen success at periodic, historic, commercial and even experimental movies, will be next seen in a movie, where she will not have scope to speak.
The sources close to the film unit reveal that Anushka Shetty will be acting as a person who cannot speak. Recently released Prabhudeva’s Mercury was also on the same lines. But the story of Anushka Shetty starrer upcoming movie is expected to be women-centric. Silence will be directed by Hemanth Madhukar, who has earlier directed several decent hit movies like A Flat, Vastadu Naa Raju and Mumbai 125 KM, and it will be produced by People Media Factory, which has produced 2 Countries. R Madhavan who is well known face for Telugu, Tamil and Hindi audience will play the lead role. Touted to be a silent thriller, Silent will also have an international star cast.
Anushka Shetty was last seen in woman centric movie Bhaagamathie, which was released on 26th January 2018, on the occasion of republic day, which was hit at the box office. After Ashok Reddy’s directorial venture, Anushka Shetty did not sign any project till date and now she is going to share the screen space with Madhavan. Earlier both Anushka Shetty and R Madhavan have worked together for popular film Rendu in 2006, which was directed by Sundar C. and bankrolled by Kushboo.
On the otherside, Madhavan is making his comeback in Tollywood with Akkineni Naga Chaitanya starrer upcoming romantic and thriller drama Savyasachi, in the direction of Chandoo Mandeti, which is currently in post production stage. Apart from Savyasachi, Madhavan will also be seen in Bollywood movie Zero in which Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are playing the lead roles.
