Harichandan’s three-and-a-half-year tenure as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh has come to an end. He left as Governor of Chhattisgarh. Former Supreme Court judge Justice Abdul Nazir, who has been appointed as the new governor, will arrive in the state today. Abdul Nazir will take charge as Governor on 24th February. AP CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy accorded a personal send-off to outgoing Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan at the Gannavaram airport. In a sign of respect Jagan Mohan Reddy bent down and touched the feet of Harichandan, as the latter was readying to fly out to Raipur, where he will assume Governor’s post.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy bid farewell to Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan at Gannavaram Airport today. Thus he showed his respect for the governor. First, the governor received the police salute. Jagan Mohan Reddy surprised everyone by bowing at the Governor’s feet.

Before leaving Gannavaram airport, a farewell program was held on behalf of the state government and the governor was felicitated. Biswabhushan Harichandan showered the praises on Jagan’s rule on this occasion. He appreciated that many welfare schemes are being implemented for the people and no section is being neglected. Minister Jogi Ramesh, APCS Jawahar Reddy, DGP Rajendranath Reddy and others were among those who bid farewell to Governor.
