The inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building will be held on 28th of this month. However, the fact that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate this building instead of the President has led to controversy. 19 parties including the Congress have already announced that they will come only if the President initiates it. Inaugurating the new Parliament building at the hands of the Prime Minister is being criticized as an attack on democracy. On the other hand, AP Chief Minister Jagan said that he is going to the inaugural function.
Jagan congratulated Prime Minister Modi for dedicating the new Parliament building to the nation. Parliament, like a temple of democracy, reflects the soul of our country, he said. He said that this building belongs to the people of the country and all political parties. He said that boycotting the inauguration program is against the spirit of democracy.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he wanted all parties to put political differences aside and participate in this event. He said that his party will participate in this historic event in the true spirit of democracy.
