The honourable chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took a progressive decision to provide internet facilities to all the government schools in Andhra Pradesh. The state had already signed a MoU with BYJUS for online teaching. However, the chief minister took a purposeful decision and this would encourage the schools to implement digital teaching and learning.

The internet availability in all the government schools would start a new phase in education. Already, the government schools were sophisticated by the state government under the Nadu-Nedu programme and also introduced English medium for future growth.

Jagan has asked the authorities to provide uninterrupted internet facility to all the schools and provide digital boards in every classroom. He also directed them to take care of maintenance of the schools that were developed under Nadu-Nedu, and ordered them to appoint a special officer to look after the maintenance of these schools in the state.

The chief minister told the officials to digitalise the text books and provide each lesson in the PDF format for the students. He told them to begin the process of distribution of laptops to the students from class VIII and make all lessons available on their laptops.Finally, he said to authorities to appoint a female teacher as councillor for girl students to solve their problems in the school.
