In a demand to forestall the proposed endless strike by state’s employees and teachers from 7th of this month, the Andhra Pradesh government matrialized a few changes in the realization of the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC). The high court made it clear that the former was at liberty to act as per the enactment in the event of the employees pursuing with the strike plan.

The high court expressed serious concern over employees gathering in Vijayawada crowdfully against the Covid protocols. The sub-committee of the cabinet renewed its dialogue with the employee leaders following advice from the CM Jagan to find possibilities of enhancing the financial benefits to the government workforce.
Ministers Rajendranath Reddy and Botsa Satyanarayana and chief secretary Sameer Sarma expressed a readiness to alter the HRA slabs and provide more benefit to the pensioners aged above 70.
The chief minister held a series of discussions with officials and cabinet colleagues on the impact of the  proposed strike. According to the sources, a proposal for invoking the Essential Services Maintenance Act was discussed, to ensure that the people do not suffer during the pandemic.
Jagan said that the government would bring under ESMA the services of doctors, medical staff, sanitisation work, electricity supply, public transport etc if the employees progress their agitation. He also asked the sub-committee to hold fresh negotiations with the employees.
