The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the inclusion of more than eight hundred fresh procedures under the Arogyasri and they will come into effect from November 1st. The number of health procedures have been increased to 3255 from 2446 by the state government. At his camp office held on Friday, Jagan said that the TDP directorate had just 1059 procedures till May 2019.

Comparing with this, Jagan said the YSR Congress government had increased these procedures to 3255 in the previous three and a half years. He also claimed that the government had spent Rs 3481.7 crores in the last 3 years under Arogyasri, while the TDP government had spent just Rs 1299.01 crore. And finally he said his government was taking care on health aspects.

The chief minister said that his government is initiating a family doctor system where the doctors visit every household and note the health details of every individual and the health record of every individual will be made online. 

“YSRCP is also constructing 17 new medical colleges in the state, which had never happened in the country in the last 75 years. Five new medical colleges were ready and will start the academic year from next year. Every college will have a teaching hospital”, said Jagan Mohan Reddy.
