There has been circulating in the employment circles for a few days that the state government is preparing proposals to increase the retirement age limit of Andhra Pradesh government employees by another year. There have been reports on social media that the government is thinking of increasing the existing retirement age by another year. Moreover , some news has been circulated that the retirement age has been increased from 62 to 65. AP  Government has given clarity on the news.

 The Finance department officials complained to Guntur and DIG about this news.  SP was ordered to register the case and conduct an investigation. On the other hand, the social media campaign that the government has increased the retirement age of employees from 62 to 65 years is completely untrue, said Venkatarami Reddy, Chairman of AP Government Jobs Federation. He said that the GO  in the campaign is fake. Employees are also requested not to believe this propaganda.

Andhra Pradesh Government denied reports in a section of the media on raising retirement age to 65 years. The employees and the public-at-large are advised to not be misled by the false GO.

The govt  is taking steps for filing a FIR for taking criminal action against the perpetrators as per law.
