Recently, when BJP elected Draupadi Murmu as its presidential candidate, the renowned Tollywood filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has made disgraceful comments on her on Twitter. One of his tweets reads, “If DRAUPADI is the PRESIDENT, who are PANDAVAS? And more importantly, who are the KAURAVAS?”
Due to these lamentable comments, AP Women’s Commission chairman Vasireddy Padma has doomed Ram Gopal Varma for such rubbish comments. She said she was issuing notice to the director on the side of the Rashtra Mahila Commission. The notice demands that he has to give an interpretation.
Women’s commission chairman has also warned Ram Gopal Varma to withdraw his comments, saying anti-women trafficking committees had been set up in all districts to eradicate the trafficking of women in AP. A case has also been filed by some BJP leaders under the SC/ST Atrocities Act and are demanding severe retribution for him.
