Archana played the role of a tribal young woman named Tulasi in Nireekshana which was helmed by Balu Mahendra and the film had Bhanu Chander in the lead role. The actress Archana was seen not wearing a blouse throughout the movie and it became a sensation at the time.
About her character, Archana said, “I had to perform without a blouse due to playing the role of a tribal woman in this film. So it cannot be said that it is a bold character.” Archana concluded it by saying that the role in Nireekshana brought her a good name.
Nireekshana is all about the story of a young forest officer who falls in love with a tribal woman. However, his life turns upside down when he is arrested under the suspicion of being a Naxalite.
Archana is also popular for acting in Vamsi’s ”Ladies Tailor”. The audiences did not forget the actress although she stayed away from movies.
