Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram, who is making his debut with Varma, the remake of Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey, was allegedly involved in a car crash. The accident took place today morning in Chennai. The sources say that Dhruv Vikram was involved in a road accident near Tenampet Chennai. He was driving the car himself and his car rammed into 3 autos that were parked on the side of a road. An Auto driver’s leg was fractured in this road accident. The spot, where the accident took place, is near the city police commissioner’s residence. It is said that Dhruv was under the influence of alcohol and an inquiry is on whether alcohol is the main reason behind this accident or not. A complaint has been filed and the investigation has been started in this matter.
Dhruv starrer Varma is being helmed by National Award winning director Bala, who is known for his gritty stories. It is being produced by E4 Entertainment, known for films such as Ezra and Godha. The model Megha Choudhary is playing the female lead. The original Arjun Reddy has Vijay Devarkonda as the male lead with Shalini Pandey paired against him. Vijay Deverakonda played the role of a brilliant medical surgeon who becomes an alcoholic when he is not able to marry the love of his life. Arjun Reddy is also being remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor.
On the other side, it has come out that Sekar Kammula is planning to bring Dhruv Vikram in Telugu Film Industry. If ongoing buzz in media and film Industry is to be believed, Premam and Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi is going to share the screen with Dhruv Vikram in this Telugu film, which is said to be a dance film. The filmmakers are expected to make the announcement about the project next month.
