Naga Chaitanya teamed up with Venkatesh Daggubati for a comedy flick Venky Mama, which had already gotten fans of both the actors pretty excited. The film also has Raashi Khanna and Payal Rajput in the female lead roles. Today on the occasion of Diwali, the makers of upcoming multistarrer Venky Mama released a new poster that features the Army look of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya with Venkatesh Daggubati.
On the occasion of Dusshera, the makers also released a poster that featured Venkatesh sitting on a tractor, surrounded by his co-stars, Naga Chaitanya, Raashi Khanna, and Payal Rajput. Directed by KS Ravindra alias Bobby, bankrolled by D Suresh Babu and TG Vishwa Prasad whereas the music is scored by Thaman. Prasad Murella is handling the cinematography.
Venky Mama will be a refreshing watch for fans who last saw Naga Chaitanya in sport based emoted and romantic drama Majili, where he played a heartbroken husband who later falls in love with his wife, essayed by Samantha Akkineni. Majili was Naga Chaitanya’ first film with wife Samantha after they got married to each other
This is the first time Naga Chaitanya is sharing the screen time with his uncle Venkatesh. So the expectations are very high. There is no update, regarding the release date of Venky Mama.
Venkatesh Daggubati’s last film was comedy and family entertainer F2 – Fun and Frustration, which had Mega Prince Varun Tej, Milky Siren Tamannah Bhatia, Rajendra Prasad and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada in it. The film was a blockbuster hit and collected approximately Rs 100 cr at the worldwide box office.
On the other side, Venkatesh has joined hands with Trinadh Rao Nakkina and Tharun Bhascker for his next upcoming projects. The film of Venkatesh and Tharun Bhascker is an interesting sports drama with horse racing as its main backdrop. The makers are planning to shoot the major part of the movie in Hyderabad Race Club in Malakpet.
