Kollywood star vishal, who is the proprietor of Vishal Film Factory, is accused of not depositing the tax deducted from the employees’ salary within the stipulated time with the Income Tax department for five years. Now he is legal trouble. A arrest warrant has been issued against Vishal Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court-II in Chennai in connection with a case filed by Income Tax Department over non-payment of TDS by his production firm Vishal Film Factory for a period of 5 years.

After he failed to appear despite repeated summons, Magistrate S Malarmathi issued the warrant against Vishal on Friday. However, Visha’ counsel denied the receipt of such summons by accused and filed a petition for absence of his client. But the public prosecutor for Income Tax department, M Sheela, objected to this and said that how the counsel could file a memo of appearance and file a petition to condone the absence of the accused when the counsel himself has stated that the summons was not received. She said that Vishal had not appeared despite receiving such summons, and she prayed for the issue of a non-bailable warrant.

Despite several notices to actor Vishal from IT department, the actor failed to appear before the court thus summons were issued from the court on 24th July by the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. The judge adjourned the case to 28th August.
