In the recent meet happened between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump, Modi was referred to “father of India” by Trump. On to this, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the US Prez for calling Modi as the father of India. He further said that Trump has no knowledge of Indian history.
On responding to the comments made by the Trump on Modi, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that “It’s an insult to the legacy of India. He is ignorant about our freedom struggle. Gandhiji earned the title of ‘father of the nation’. He united the nation through his vision of compassion, pluralism, and brotherhood. Pandit Nehru and Sardar Patel were giants of Indian politics, even they were never called ‘father of India’. You can’t compare Modi with Gandhiji.”
Owaisi further expressed his opinion by saying, the US is standing on two sides of the wall as Trump has praised both Indian PM Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan. On the other hand, Asaduddin has accepted the connection of Trump with Elvis Presley. He explained it saying, Elvis used to gather a huge crowd with his songs whereas, Modi forms crowd with his speeches.
Asad has further expressed serious dissatisfaction with India for being clubbed with Kashmir. On to which he said, “Why has Modi hyphenated our beloved country with Pakistan?” he asked.
