Jisshu Sen Gupta is well known face for Telugu movie lovers as he was seen playing a villain in Naga Shaurya starrer Aswathama, which was released on 31st January 2020. Now Aswathama villain Jisshu Sen Gupta has been roped in another big budget movie Thalaivi to essay the role of Shoban Babu. The upcoming film Thalaivi is based on the life of former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu J Jayalalithaa in which Kangana Ranaut is essaying the titular role.
Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi has now a new addition to its ensemble cast. Jisshu Sen Gupta is all set to play the role of yesteryear Shoban Babu in the AL Vijay directorial venture.
Shoban Babu played a very important role in the life of Jayalalithaa. Rumor had it that Shoban Babu and J Jayalalithaa were in a relationship. So the film’s producer Vishnu Induri had been contemplating for a while about whom to cast for this important role.
The sources say that it was not an easy task for the makers of Thalaivi to rope someone to essay the role of Shoban Babu. After watching the performance of Jisshu Sen Gupta in his movies, the makers felt that he would be fit in the role of yesteryear actor. When the makers contacted the Bengali actor Jissu and offered the role, he instantly agreed to play the part, and has even started preparing for the role.
