The Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala (FEUOK) has decided that the rest of the films will be screened as usual but only ‘Avatar 2’ will be banned. On this occasion, FEUOK President K. Vijay Kumar said, “We are not saying that we will ban movies in the state of Kerala. But, as the discussions on profit shares were not successful, we have decided not to screen only the movie ‘Avatar 2’.
A proper agreement could not be reached between theater owners and distributors.. Buyers are asking for 60 percent profit on the first-week collections of ‘Avatar 2’. This decision had to be taken after the theater owners said that they would give only 55 percent profit.
