The hurdle to the construction of Ayodhya’s largest and most advanced mosque has been cleared. It is known that in 2019, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the construction of the Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya (where the Babri Masjid was demolished). Also, it issued orders to give five acres of land to the Sunni Waqf Board for the construction of a mosque in Ayodhya itself.

Construction of a mosque is about to start at Dannipur village, near the Lucknow-Faizabad highway near Ayodhya. Secretary of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, Athar Hussain, announced that they have been looking for  the permission to use the site for the construction of a mosque for a long time, and finally permission has been received from the Ayodhya Development Authority.

Athar Hussain Hussain said that they would build not only a mosque but also a 200 bed hospital. He said that Rs 100 crores would be spent in the first phase and Rs 100 crores in the second phase. It is noteworthy that the design that has come to light, the mosque is very sophisticated and attractive.

Vishal Singh, Ayodhya Development Authority Vice-Chairperson, and Athar Hussain, Secretary, Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, said that construction for the proposed mosque off the Lucknow-Faizabad highway may start soon.
