Ayodhya Verdict: Alternative Land should be given to Muslims to compensate them for the loss of mosque

The verdict on long-awaited Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid verdict has been given today by the Supreme Court. The decision has come in favor of Hindus to construct Ram Temple at the disputed site at Ayodhya. The Supreme Court has paved the way for the construction of a Ram Temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya and directed the Centre to allot a 5-acre alternate plot to the Sunni Waqf Board for building a mosque. Iqbal Ansari, the son of the oldest litigant in the Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case Hashim Ansari, said that he was fully satisfied with the Supreme Court verdict.

The five-judge bench of the Supreme Court has said that an alternate land has to be allotted to Muslims for the construction of Mosque. The Supreme Court has said that there was a massive structure on the site of the Babri mosque. It is also said that the mosque was not built on vacant land and the structure has no Islamic origin. The court also said that the title suit has to be decided on a legal proof.
