Arka Media Works, the production house  which bankrolled the blockbuster Baahubali series- Baahubali : The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion,  starring Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, and Ramya Krishna, has been busy with a bunch of web series. Now according to the latest update, Baahubali producers are coming up with an upcoming project.  They are all set to remake Malayalam blockbuster film Maheshinte Prathikaram.  They have roped Venkatesh Maha who directed the critically acclaimed film C/O Kancharapalem, to helm this remake, which is titled Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya.

Satyadev Kancharana, who has acted in a number of Telugu and Hindi movies, will be seen in the lead role in Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, which is being co-produced by C/o Kancharapalem makers Mahayana Motion Pictures. The details regarding the remaining  cast, crew will be revealed very soon.   The entire shoot of titled Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya has been wrapped up recently and makers have also started the post production activities.   Baahubali producers are planning to release Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya on 17th April 2020.

Maheshinte Prathikaaram is a comedy-drama, directed by Dileesh Pothan and  produced by Aashiq Abu. The film starring Fahadh Faasil, Anusree, Alencier Ley Lopez, Aparna Balamurali, and Soubin Shahir. It was released in 2016.

The producer Shobu Yarlagadda says, “Venkatesh Maha has a unique sensibility in showing nativity and so we thought he is the right person to interpret this Malayalam hit film Maheshinte Prathikaaram.”

 The upcoming film Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya  also has Naresh, Suhaas, Jabbardast Ramprasad, TNR, Ravindra Vijay and K Raghavan in the supporting roles. The movie Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya  is said to be a revenge drama, based on the life of a photographer named Uma Maheswara Rao, who is running a photo studio named Komali Photo Studio in the town of Araku Valley.
