Young Rebel Star Prabhas starrer Adipurush is an on-screen adaptation of Ramayana, and features Baahubali fame star as Lord Ram and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. Backed by T-Series, Adipurush, which is being helmed by Om Raut of Tanhaji fame, is described as a film celebrating “the victory of good over evil.” The film is Om Raut’s follow-up project to his blockbuster historic drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan, which released last year. Now according to the latest update, there is a bad news for the fans of Prabhas as the shoot of Adipurush has been halted after Maharashtra government imposed restrictions on all the activities except for essential ones till 30th April.
Maharashtra is the worst affected state in India in terms of the number of COVID-19 cases and fatalities. The Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said that the current situation in Maharashtra is ‘scary’ and he has imposed 144 section in the state for a period of 15 days. The restrictions will be in effect till 7 am, 1 May.
The shoot of Prabhas starrer Adipurush was happening in Mumbai with usage of hi-end technology and finally the shooting has been stopped. The film also has Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in the crucial roles.
