TDP- Telugu Desam Party Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna‘ personal assistant (AP) Balaji was caught red handed and he was arrested by the Karnataka Task Force police in Chikkaballapur district for gambling in a bar. Balaji was arrested on Sunday. According to the latest report, Karnataka police had conducted raids at several hotels.
The gambling center was located at BNR restaurant at Nagirigera in Gauribidanur taluk on the Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka border. The police arrested 19 persons including Balaji and Hindupur Mandal YSRCP rural convenor Sriram Reddy, and the police also seized Rs 1,56,750 in cash, eight cars, and three two-wheelers from them. 18 other people including teachers and politicians were also arrested.
The arrest of Balaji has created ripples in the Hindupur constituency. Telugu Desam Party activists requested Balakrishna to take severe action against his PA. It also being heard the bar was running by the ruling party TDP leader.
On the work front, Balakrishna was last seen playing the lead role in Boyapati Srinu’ magnum opus Akhanda which was a blockbuster at the box office and in this film Balayya romanced Pragya Jaiswal. Currently Balakrishna is working with Gopicand Malineni for his next which has Shruti Haasan in the female lead and Duniya Vijay as villain.
