On the occasion of his birthday, director Teja made an announcement regarding his project Alivelu Venkataramana in which macho star Gopichand will play the lead role. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Gopichand was not the first choice of this film Alivelu Venkataramana. Initially Teja had narrated Alivelu Venkataramana’s story to Nandamuri Balakrishna a couple of years ago. But Balayya Babu rejected it and asked Teja to direct NTR biopic, so Teja walked out of the project and the role fell in the lap of Gopichand.
When Teja narrated the same Alivelu Venkataramana’ story to Oxygen star Gopichand, he was very impressed with the narration and gave his nod. The project will go on the floors once Telugu film Industry resumes shootings.
According to the sources, Alivelu Venkataramana is going to be an exciting project. Without divulging much information, sources also added the upcoming film would remain very special in the career of Gopichand. Further updates regarding this project are being awaited. Apart from Alivelu Venkataramana, Teja is also planning to direct a movie Rakshasa Raju Ravanasurudu starring Rana Daggubati.
Meanwhile, Gopichand is currently working for his sport based drama Seetimaarr in which Tamannah Bhatia is playing the leading lady.
