Owing to the COVID-19 crisis and the lockdown regulations, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and his brother Young Tiger Jr NTR did not pay a visit to their grandfather’s grave – the late legendary actor cum politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao – on the latter’s 97th birth anniversary today on 28th May. But on this occasion, NTR’s sons Nandamuri Balakrishna and Ramakrishna visited NTR Ghat and paid tributes to their legendary father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.
Along with Nandamuri Balakrishna, his wife Vasundhara Devi too paid her tributes to NTR. On the other hand, Kalyan Ram and Jr NTR took to their social media accounts and posted a couple of posters, expressing their love and respect for their grandfather.
Every year, the fans, family members and Telugu Desam Party leaders pay floral tributes to the former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on both his birth and death anniversaries. However, the on-going tradition from the past few years is likely to take place in low light this year.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is best known for his portrayals of Hindu idols, especially Lord Krishna, and he established the Telugu Desam Party- TDP in 1982. Within a span of 9 months from launching his political party, he won the general elections with a thumping majority and took oath as the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh.
