Bellamkonda Suresh to be arrested! Arrest warrant issued
Noted producer Bellamkonda Suresh can be arrested by the police anytime. An arrest warrant has been issued against producer Bellamkonda Suresh for failing to make the repayment of Rs 3.5 cr to a Telugu entertainment channel. In 2013, Bellamkonda Suresh bankrolled the movie titled Jabardasth in which Samantha Akkineni and Siddharth played the lead roles. Jabardasth is an unofficial remake of the Hindi movie ‘Band Baaja Baarat’
Bellamkonda Suresh has been sentenced to jail by the High court of Delhi in connection with an alleged fraud of not paying the telecast rights of Jabardasth. The Police is all set to arrest the filmmaker based on a complaint about not paying the producers of Band Baaja Baaraat.
The case pertains to Samantha Akkineni and Siddharth starrer ‘Jabardasth’ which was an unofficial remake of Bollywood movie ‘Band Baaja Baarat’. When Yash Raj Films dragged Bellamkonda Suresh to the court, it was found that the Telugu film Jabardasth had one too many similarities with the Bollywood movie Band Baaja Baaraat. The court had ordered a stay on the release of Jabardasth and telecast of the film on TV. However, before this legal battle, Bellamkonda Suresh had successfully sold the satellite rights of ‘Jabardasth’ for Rs 3.5 Cr. Now TV channel can’t air Jabardasth following the plagiarism case. When they asked him to return the satellite rights’ amount, Bellamkonda Suresh refused to do so. With interest rates go up, Bellamkonda Suresh should have to pay Rs 11.75 cr to the channel now. Regarding this that the arrest warrant has been issued and Bellamkonda Suresh can be arrested.
