Bengal Cop wants Sushmita Sen and Raveena Tandon for drug abuseSushmita Sen and Raveena Tandon may play the female lead role in West Bengal DIG (traffic) Humayun Kabir’s second directorial venture based on drug abuse.

West Bengal DIG (traffic) Humayun Kabir, who made his directorial debut with the Bengali film Aleya, is planning to make a multilingual movie that will see the top cop addressing the issue of drug abuse. Currently Humayun Kabir is working  on the script on drug abuse. The movie will be made in Telugu, Hindi and Bengali, and hit the floors in the month of August. According to the latest update, Humayun Kabir is planning to  rope Bollywood actress Mast Mast Girl Ranveen Tandon and Sushmita Sen to play the lead roles in this film. The sources say that Humayun Kabir has also expressed his desire to cast few South Indian actresses also in the film based on drug abuse. He is also in the plan to rope Bengali actresses Rituparna Sengupta and Ritwick Chakraborty.

As Humayun Kabir, himself is a cop, has come across man real life incidents that he wants, to tell to the society. Humayun Kabir made his directorial debut with  crime thriller Aleya, tha deals with serious issues like triple talaq, child marriage and  school dropout rate. For this film,  KolkataCentral Board of Film Certification (CBFC) asked the director Humayun Kabir to make six modifications including muting the words Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Jai Shri Ram, Kafer and Trishule gethe. Now Humayun Kabir’s next directorial venture will see the top cop addressing the issue of drug abuse.

During the media interaction Hamayun Kabir said,  “I am working on two more stories. While one is on substance abuse and  the other will be based on child trafficking. “

Sushmita Sen is one of India’s most iconic public figures. Besides being an acclaimed actress and India’s first Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen is also an active humanitarian and spends a lot of her time engaging in several philanthropic ventures. Recently in an event in Mumbai, Sushmita Sen opened up about her experience of s*xual assault.

 Ranveena Tandon is well known face for Telugu, Tamil and Hindi audiences. In 2002, Ranveena Tandon won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in  Daman: A Victim of Marital Violence.

Ranveena Tandon made her comeback to the film industry with a leading role in Maatr, which was released this year.

 Let’s wait and watch whether Raveena Tandon and Sushmita Sen will be the part of Humayun Kabir’s film or not!
