Story:  Chandu (Sree Vishnu) is an innocent guy, who works as an accountant and he is in love with an investigative journalist Sashi Rekha (Catherine Tresa), who is covering a heinous murder. He helps her out in filing a crime story by talking about where he saw the victim of a murder. She gets sucked into a web of deceit, high-profile crime and hawala money. What is Chandu’ motive? Where do murders fit in the story? What is Sashi Rekh’  place in the scheme of things?  To get these answers, one should watch the movie on silver screen.

Plus Points:

  • Sree Vishnu
  • Twists
  • BGM

Minus Points:

  • Weak Villain
  •  Slow Narration
  •  Weak Story

Performance:  Once again, with his performance Sree Vishnu proved his acting skills.  In this movie, his character has two different shades- an innocent guy and an action hero. He looks energetic on the screen. He is brilliant not just while showing off his action chops but also in the action episodes. Catherine Tresa also performs very well. She nails it. Ramachandra Raju aka Garuda Ram gets a full-length villain role in a Telugu film and he looks routine. Satya’s comedy is ok. Posani Krishna Murali’s performance is good.   The rest of the cast perform accordingly.

Technical: The story of Bhala Thandanana  is interesting and the movie has decent action episodes. The production design is good. Suresh Ragutu’s cinematography is ok. Peter Hein’s action choreography is lackluster. The dialogues are not up to the mark. Gandhi Nadikudikar’s art direction is good , whereas Marthand K. Venkatesh’s editing is just ok.

Analysis: Though Sree Vishnu delivers his best, but all goes in vain because of slow narration and weak storyline. Another minus point of the film is weak narration. Though the film Bhala Thandanana  centers around Rs 2000 crs,  and it takes too much time to come to the main point. The real story starts  with the sentry of Garuda Ram and when Sree Vishnu hatches a plan to steal Rs 2000 cr. Overall Bhala Thandhanana is a routine action drama.
