Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth is going to celebrate a birthday today on Thursday. Rajinikanth has received a special wish from Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu. Today on the occasion of Rajinikanth’s birthday, Mahesh Babu took to his twitter to send his birthday wishes to Thalaiva. A number of Kollywood celebrities have already shared several nostalgic and heart-warming messages for the legend, Rajinikanth, on social media.
Mahe Babu took to his twitter and said, “Happy Birthday to our Thalaiva Rajinikanth Sir. Wishing you a phenomenal year with great health and joy.
Mahesh Babu and Rajinikanth are very close. In the past, after watching Mahesh Babu starrer Spyder, Rajinikanth showered praises for the actor and said, “Film Spyder is very good. The movie carries a good message along with the superb action part. AR Murugadoss handled the subject very well. Mahesh Babu has given an extraordinary performance. I congratulate the entire unit of Spyder for delivering such a superb movie.”
Spyder was also about the story of an Intelligence Bureau officer Shiva (played by Mahesh Babu), who has to tack down the psychopathic Sudalai (essayed by SJ Suryah), who’s on the prowl in the city. Though the movie ended up commercially flop at the box office the performance of SJ Suryah and Mahesh Babu were highlighted. Mahesh Babu starrer Spyder was directed by A R Muragadoss and currently, the director is working with Rajinikanth for much-hyped move Darbar, which is releasing on the occasion of Pongal.
On the occasion of Rajinikanth’s birthday, theatres across Chennai started screening Baasha. This shows the kind of craze Tamil Thalaiva has built among followers over the years. Rajinikanth himself spoke about his own legacy at the audio launch of his upcoming actioner Darbar, in which he said, “The time, the period, the situation, the opportunity and the people around me are the main reason for my success.”
On the other side, Rajinikanth starrer Darbar will compete with Mahesh Babu’ Sarileru Neekevvaru which is also releasing on the occasion of Sankranthi.
