Golden Globes Awards is back this year after not being televised last year. The Golden Globes felicitates the best in film and American television of 2022, chosen by Hollywood Foreign Press Association It is known that SS Rajamouli’s RRR earned itself a nomination in the Best Non-English Language category at the 80th Golden Globes. However, the movie RRR lost to Argentina 1985. It was a bittersweet moment for RRR team. But on the otherside, Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer RRR won the Golden Globes Award for its song Naatu Naatu, which is composed by MM Keeravaani. SS Rajamouli’s RRR has made India proud.

The movie Argentina, 1985, is directed by Santiago Mitre and it is based on real events and follows the events surrounding the 1985 Trial of the Juntas, which prosecuted ringleaders of Argentina’s last civil-military dictatorship. The other nominees in ‘Best Picture-Non English’ category were German anti-war film ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’, Korean romantic mystery drama ‘Decision To Leave’, and French-Dutch coming-of-age movie ‘Close’.

Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR, bankrolled by DVV Danayya, follows a pre-Independence fictional story woven around two real-life Indian revolutionaries , Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem in the 1920s, has been making the world go crazy after its story and the music.
