BJP ahead in 4 seats in Telangana

Telangana voted in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on 11th April. There are 17 seats in Telangana State with prime parties being Bhartiya Janatha Party (BJP), Congress, Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM). BJP is leading in Nizamabad, Secunderabad, Karimnagar and Adilabad Lok Sabha constituencies.

Telangana’s ruling party TRS which was hoping a clean sweep, the BJP was leading in 4 of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.

Overall, Telangana Rashtra Samithi was leading in 11 constituencies but Chief Minister KCR daughter K Kavitha was trailing in Nizamabad as D Arvind of the BJP (Bhartiya Janatha Party) established early lead. Vinod Kumar was trailing in Karimnagar, where Bandi Sanjay Kumar of the Bhartiya Janatha Party was leading by over 23,000 votes.

Soyam Bapu Rao of Bhartiya Janatha Party was also ahead with the margin of over 28,000 votes in Adilabad. Bhartiya Janatha Party’s G Kishan Reddy was ahead in the Secunderabad, the only seat won by party in 2014. State Congress chief Uttam Kumar Reddy was leading in Nalgonda whereas AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi was leading in Hyderabad.
