From the past few weeks, rape allegations of a law student over BJP’s swami Chinmayanand have been standing as the headline breaker. The matter was raised in newspapers”.

The Congress general secretary in-charge UP East further posted that “Rape case was not filed despite the rape victim narrating her ordeal. How would it have been filed? When the whole administration was embracing and protecting him”.

Currently the victim, the law student has been booked under the extortion charges and sent to 14-day judicial custody. Whereas, the rape accused Chinmayanand has been sent to judicial custody post his arrest and has been booked under the section 376C of Indian Penal Code(IPC) which is considered as the less charge for the punishment of rape.
