BJP is all set to break its records of winning in the Gujarat Assembly polls. Bharitya Janata Party- BJP has got the early lead with the Congress leading at the second position 2.5 hours after the counting of Gujarat Assembly Election 2022 started.
BJP made strong gains in the early hours of counting with the ruling party crossing the half way mark in the early trends with the candidates like chief minister Bhupendra Patel, Alpesh Thakor, Hardik Patel, are leading from their constituencies. Congress was routed in the early trends though it maintained its 2nd position leaving the Aam Aadmi Party in its distant 3rd position. However, leading in 8 seats, AAP is hopeful to become recognized as a national party.
Bharatiya Janata Party had set a target to break all previous records. Narendra Modi in each meeting was appealing to the voters to vote for the BJP and break all old records.
BJP- Bharatiya Janata Party’ record in Gujarat is of 127 seats but going by the trends in which BJP is leading in over 150 seats, the party is set to break its own record. BJP is all set to break Congress’s 1985 record when the Congress won 149 seats.
