BJP’s senior leader and former Union Minister Swami Chinmayanand’s rape case has been hitting the headlines frequently these days. According to the latest update, the rape victim who accused the Chinmayanand of raping her has been whisked away by the Uttar Pradesh police on Tuesday for the interrogation.
Reports claim that while the victim is on her way to the Shahjahanpur court for seeking protection, she was arrested by the police and taken away. All this happened in the presence of both her brother and father. This has exactly happened just a day after the court denied protecting her against arrest.
Yesterday, the court observed that special bench was formed in probing the SIT and if the victim wanted, she could apply for an anticipatory bail in a regular court, reportedly.
On the other hand, Chinmayanand who is in jail has admitted the sexual charges upon him saying, he used to call the girl for massages and he is ashamed of his deeds.
