Thunivu box office Collections: Ajith Kumar starrer heist-thriller which was released on 11th January is winning the hearts of the movie lovers and it is competing with Vijay starrer Varisu in Tamil Nadu. Now according to the latest report, Thunivu has crossed Rs 50+ Cr at the worldwide box office on its 1st day. The director H Vinod confirmed the same by sharing a new poster on his Twitter.

Pongal is a huge period for the box office in Tamil Nadu State. In the year 2019, the clash between Rajinikanth starrer action drama Petta and Ajith Kumar starrer Viswasam collected over Rs 230 cr at the Tamil Nadu box office, which was more than 50 % higher than the then biggest grosser in the state Baahubali 2.
Directed by H Vinoth, the action-thriller Thunivu is bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.
