Bollywood critic Subhash K Jha insulted the upcoming historic war movie Sye Raa Naraishma Reddy in which Megastar Chiranjeevi is playing the lead role. After watching the trailer of Sye Raa, Subhash K Jha mocked Chiranjeevi starrer and said, “Wondering whether the film is Manmohan Desai’s Mard featuring Amitabh Bachchan or Manoj Kumar’s Kranthi.”
Subhash K Jha added, “In Sye Raa trailer Chiranjeevi is seen jumping, fighting and saying ‘Get Out Of my Motherland’. He reminds me more of Robin Hood than Mangal Pandey which is not a bad thing in a film that reduces the pitfalls of colonization to a revenge formula.”
Subhash K Jha further said, “Amitabh Bachchan’s voice over is very impressive in Sye Raa. Decades ago in Manmohan Desai’ Mard. Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachcan has done what Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi is seen doing. The villainous British officer then was portrayed by Bob Cristo, as in Desai’s Mard and Manoj Kumar’s Kranti.”
On the other-side, it is being heard that Prabhas is going to promote Sye Raa in Hindi belt. The sources say that Prabhas’ pan-India success with Baahubali series and Saaho, Megastar Chiranjeevi feels Prabhas is the only star who can take the message of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy to every corner of India and abroad.”
