Ashih Reddy starrer Rowdy Boys,  Kalyaan Dhev starrer Super Macchi and  Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya starrer fantasy drama Bangarraju were released on  the eve of Sankranthi.  Though Bangarraju is an average, the collections of Super Machi were zero at the box office on its release date. Bangarraju worked well in  Andhra Pradesh but the collections of the film in  Nizam and Overseas are not up to the mark. Overall Kalyan Krishna’ magnum opus Bangarraju which has Ramya Krishna and  Krirthi Shetty in the female lead, is an above average film.

Few days ago, Keerthy Suresh came up with a female centric movie Good Luck Sakhi , which received mixed response by the movie lovers and its collections are also dull at the box office. Other small budget films  Uniki and  Vadhu Katnam also disappointed the movie lovers. So the  first month of 2022- January  ended up on a dull note.
