Now it has been officially confirmed that the release of Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati starrer upcoming much hyped movie Bheemla Nayak, has been postponed and it will now be released on 25th February.
While RRR is set to open in cinemas on 7th January, Radhe Shayam, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, will hit screens on 14th January. Earlier Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata was also announced as a Sankranthi release. However, the release date was later moved to1 April.
The decision to release SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film RRR starring Young Tiger Jr NTR, Mega power Star Ram Charan, Olivia Morris and Alia Bhatt, around the time of the Sankranthi festival has complicated things for other filmmakers, who had already locked the festival for their new movies.
RRR, which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya is made at a budget of Rs 400 crore and the traders are expecting that it will break the records of Baahubali 2 at the box office.
On the otherside, Pawan and Rana Starrar Bheemla Nayaka is helmed by Saagar K Chandra, and it is the official Telugu remake of 2020s Malayalam blockbuster Ayyappanum Koshiyum. The movie which has Nithya Menen and Samyuktha Menen in the female leads, is bankrolled by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments.
