Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli, who tested the patience of the movie lovers and was tight lipped about the female leads of his upcoming directorial venture RRR, talked about its storyline, the characters of Young Tiger Jr NTR and Ram Charan, and bout the female leads recently during the press meet of RRR. Rajamouli confirmed the news that Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt and British actress Daisy Edgar Jones will play the female leads in RRR. Alia Bhatt is roped opposite Ram Charan whereas Rajamouli approached Daisy Edgar Jones to play the love interest of Jr NTR. Finally the British actress has rejected Jr NTR and walked out from Rajamouli’ project RRR. Indirectly she has given a big slap to Rajamouli.
The team of RRR has confirmed this news via a post on Twitter, “Due to unavoidable circumstances, @DaisyEdgarJones is no longer a part of our film. We hope she has a brilliant future. #RRR.” Earlier it was heard that Daisy Edgar Jones would be playing the role of a colonial British woman in RRR.
Daisy Edgar Jones was highly-discussed among the Telugu movie lovers as she was to share screen space with Jr NTR. But despite being active on the social media, she never posted anything about RRR, and Jr NTR.
Daisy Edgar Jones has also been the part of television shows like Outnumbered and Silent Witness. She was seen in film Pond Life in 2017. She was a drama student and is known to be fluent in Irish, Scottish and American accents.
RRR, set in the 1920s, is scheduled to hit the theaters on 30th July 2020 in ten Indian languages, including Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The film is being made on the lavish budget of more than Rs 350 Cr and is being bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment.
