Telangana ruling party’ Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC made controversial remarks against the Governor. The Bills passed through the Assembly on Thursday were not approved by the Governor. After which Member of the Legislative Council P. Kaushik Reddy used abusive language against Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan. Video of MLC P. Kaushik Reddy using derogatory words in Telugu went viral.
It was immediately not clear where and when BRS MLC Kaushik Reddy was speaking. The use of unparliamentary words by the MLC surfaced on Republic Day when the Governor Tamilisai Sundararajan indirectly attacked Chief Minister KCR during her speech.
The differences between the BRS government and the governor started in 2021. When hse did not approve the cabinet’s recommendation to nominate Kaushik Reddy to the Legislative Council under the Governor’s quota in the social service category. When the Governor delayed in approving the file, BRS government sent Kaushik Reddy to the upper house under the Members of Legislative Assembly quota.
BJP has reacted strongly to the use of abusive words by BRS MLC Kaushik Reddy against the Governor. BJP national Vice President DK Aruna demanded that CM KCR immediately suspend him from the party.
