Buchi Babu Sana made his directorial debut with a romantic drama Uppena in which Vaisshnav Tej and Kriti Shetty played the lead roles and the movie was a blockbuster at the box office. It is known that after the release of Uppena, the makers of the film gifted director Buchi Babu Sana a brand new Mercedes Benz GLC, which costs around Rs 75 lakhs as a token of gratitude and appreciation. Buchi Babu had the first ride with his mentor Sukumar with whom he earlier worked as an assistant for films such as 100 % Love, Arya 2, Nannaku Prematho and Rangasthalam. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Buchi Babu Sana is planning to make his next project with a young hero.
After the release of Uppena, Buchi Babu tried to bring Jr NTR on board for his second directorial but things did not materialize as Jr NTR announced his projects NTR30, and NTR31. Soon after realizing that Jr NTR will be unavailable for the next couple of years, the director tied to bring Vaisshnav Tej, on the board but he too was busy as he signed three new projects after the release of Uppena.
Now, Buchi Babu is in the talk with a young hero for his next project. He is planning to take the project onto the floors very soon.
