Srikanth Addala is termed as sensible director in Tollywood. He has hits like Kotta Bangaru Lokam, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu to his credit. Even Mukunda with Varun Tej is a decent entertainer too. However the director lost all his craze by directing Brahmotsavam which is a major dud at the box office. Srikanth Addala has spent more than 4 years without any movie. Now he has got the chance to direct Asuran remake which was titled Naarappa.
Can Srikanth Addala bounce back with this film and prove his mettle? Because this movie is against Srikanth Addala’s sensibilities. His movies has soft family entertainer angle and always talks about strengths in relations. However Asuran is an intense revenge drama which talks about the points of caste, daliths etcs., and also has faction backdrop. The film also promises lot of bloodshed.
It is definitely a big challenge for Srikanth Addala. Shooting of this flick has recently started and first look posters of Venky as Naarappa were a huge hit. All the doubts over this film were cleared. Venkatesh suited perfectly in aged character. Naarappa team is planning to wrap up the shoot as early as possible. Naarappa might hit the screens in late Summer.
