Om Raut’ upcoming directorial venture, “Adipurush“, in which Young Rebel Star Prabhas will play the lead role, has come under the legal scanner with an advocate filing a plea against the makers and Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who is all set to essay the role of Lankesh- Ravana.
The case against Saif Ali Khan is in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest update, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court has fixed 23rd December as the next date of hearing in the case. The civil court advocate, Himanshu Srivastava, has given an application through advocate Upendra Vikram Singh. Himanshu Srivastava said in his petition that he is a believer of Sanatan Dharma, and traditionally, Lord Ram is considered a symbol of good, whereas Raavan is viewed as evil.
According to Himanshu Srivastava, Saif Ali Khan’ interview was a negative portrayal of ‘faith in Sanatan Dharma’.
The advocate filed the case against Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan and Adipurush director Om Raut for hurting the religious sentiments. Recently during the media interaction, Tanhaji fame actor Saif Ali Khan had said that the film Adipurush will make Raavan ‘humane’, which he later retracted.
