A case has registered a case against actress Bhanupriya and her brother Gopalkrishna for engaging a minor girl as domestic help and harassing her. This news came into light after an FIR has been registered against Bhanupriya and Gopalkrishna, by Superintendent of Police, East Godavari, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The case was initially registered in Samalkot, AP and has now been transferred to Chennai.

In her complaint, R Penupagala Prabhavathi (the mother of a minor girl) of Andhra Pradesh, had alleged that she engaged her 14 years old daughter for doing domestic work in Bhanupriya’ house for about 18 months. Since then, Bhanupriya had not paid her daughter salary and also refused to send her back home.

Prabhavathi alleged that on 18th January, she received a phone call from her daughter, who said Bhanupriya’s brother Gopalakrishna had been harassing her mentally and physically.

According to Prabhasvathi, Gopalakrishna had s*xually harassed her daughter while she was working there. With the help of some child welfare groups, child’ mother has managed to file a complaint with the police.

Actress Bhanupriya was booked under Sections 323, 506, 341 and 34 of the IPC and Juvenile Justice Act Sections 75 and 79.

In Tollywood, Bhanupriya was last seen in Nag Ashwin’ directorial venture Mahanati, in which Keerthy Suresh played the female lead.
