
The Andhra Pradesh government has started the digital transactions in government run liquor outlets. Now the people won’t have to carry cash to the wine shops whenever they want to buy liquor anymore.
Special chief secretary to the excise department, Rajat Bhargava, launched the online, cashless transaction facility in The system would be followed by other liquor outlet government’s elite liquor outlet. SBI is the digital partner for the corporation.
Rajat Bhargava said that out of the total 2,934 liquor outlets, cashless services were commenced in 11 walk in stores and launch in the remaining outlets would be done within 3 months.
Finally Andhra Pradesh State Beverages Corporation Limited introduced a cashless transactions in its retail outlets from Friday The people can make payments via UPI/QR code enabled Phonepe / Gpay etc in addition to prevailing cash mode payments.
According to SBI DGM Rangarajan there would be no additional charges on transactions through debit cards and UPI. Additional charges will be applicable only on the credit card payments. It is known that all the retail outlets are doing cash transactions only till now. Soon after business hours, auto challan is generated based on track and trace software. In the digital age, permitting digital mode of the payments at retail outlets enables customers to be at ease in making payments by exercising their choice of mode of the payment.
