After, the toughest decision of abrogating Article 370 & 35(A) of Jammu and Kashmir, here comes another revolutionary decision from the Centre. The decision is that the centre has now detained the then Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah under the stringent Public Saftey Act (PSA).

Referring to this act, sources close to the legal department have clarified saying, this law enables the Centre to detain any individual for two years.

The Ex-CM is 81 years old and he has been under the house arrest ever since August 5th on revoking of special provisions of Jammu and Kashmir and turned it to union territories. From the reports, it was also known that on Monday, the Supreme court has urged the Centre and Jammu and Kashmir administration to respond to the petition that seeks to produce the Omar Abdullah in the court.

It also came to notice that Tamil Nadu’s MDMK leader Vaiko is called to be a close friend of Abdullah over many decades and he had filed the petition, which reads the release of Abdullah, so he could attend an event in Chennai. Apart from Abdullah’s son and former chief minister Omar Abdullah and another former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti were also put under detention since August 5.

Upon the decision of centre on detaining of Omar Abdullah, many political critics are airing their minds that it is a tight slap to Former Jammu CM. However, it is still skeptical as we need to wait and see how many miracles are going to happen from the decisions of the centre in the near future.
