Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is making his digital debut with his upcoming web series titled, ‘Dhootha‘. As a consequence, it is also the first ever web series of the international giant Amazon Prime Video. It is directed by Vikram K Kumar and it is in its last leg of its production works.
The surprising thing to discuss here is, Amazon Prime has financed a whopping budget of Rs 45 crores to make it. And this is the highest ever for any other Telugu web series so far. Both the director and actor, Vikram Kumar and Naga Chaitanya have grabbed Rs 5 crores respectively to accomplish the project.
But there is a huge buzz in the industry that the project is quite influential, and the director had holded talks with the platform officials for one more project to run. Billed to be a spectacular horror-thriller, Dhootha is Amazon Prime’s first and initial commercial project that has skyhigh expectations from the public. Meanwhile, the duo Vikram Kumar and Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming film Thank You is scheduled for July 8th release.
