Yesterday, Delhi Court has voiced out the hearing on the P Chidambaram’s plea which seeks the granting of interim bail in regards to the INX Media case. The court has extended the CBI custody for Chidambaram by one more day.
With this, former Finance Minister Chidambaram will now be produced in the CBI court at 3:30 PM today, reportedly. The senior Congress leader was produced in the court yesterday post the elapse of his three-day CBI custody.
For the bail plea, Chidambaram was produced before the Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar where his counsel and senior advocate Kapil Sibal spoke on the interim bail application.
On to this Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, has taken time to reply as he explained it saying, the notice has been issued to the CBI as it is really required as per the protocol. He said that “All citizens have to be treated equally that personal liberty of every citizen is equal”. It has to wait and see now as to how P Chidambaram’s case will take twists that is scheduled in the court at 3:30 PM, today.
